Shinovene Immanuel has been the head of the investigative unit since 2015. He has worked at The Namibian since January 2011. He is a member of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) and in 2015 spent three months in South Africa as a fellow at Amabhungane, the then M&G centre of investigative journalism. Immanuel has broken a number of key stories implicating high-ranking government and political officials, as well as private sector operators, in alleged corrupt dealings and transactions.
